Use cases

Built for every kind of sleeper.

  • Most disturbances leave a trace before they wake you. A car door outside, the heating clicking on, a partner turning over. Alora logs every time you stir and records what the room was doing at that moment. Once it sees a pattern it starts getting ahead of it. It warms the light before your usual 4am wake, raises the fan to cover street noise, and holds the temperature steadier through your lightest hours.

  • Sleep scoring that assumes you go to bed at 11pm is no use on a night rota. Alora reads your actual sleep window instead of the clock, so a 9am to 4pm sleep is measured on its own terms. It also works against the daylight. It drops blinds, cools the room, and keeps it dark through the afternoon. That is usually the difference between five broken hours and seven solid ones.

  • Two people rarely want the same room. Alora measures what the space is doing instead of what one wrist is doing, so it can find settings that suit both of you. It cools the room for the warm sleeper without waking the light one, and raises the fan when snoring starts so nobody has to. Each person still gets their own nightly score.

  • Broken sleep needs to be measured differently. Total hours hide the damage, because it is the number of wakes that you feel in the morning. Alora counts every interruption and shows how long each one cost you. It also separates the wakes the baby caused from the ones the room caused. Put a second Alora in the nursery and you can compare both rooms.
